In the Surreal Space photo series Smeeing considers the borders between the ‘real’ and the ‘surreal’ experience of urban spaces. The images that make up the series explore the moment where one space meets another, blurring the boundaries between what is real and what is not. The images generate a novel perspective of the city that is both incongruous yet familiar, spaces that are somehow indefinable.
