Kevin Smeeing (Netherlands, 1988) is a creative director and artist working with social interaction, conceptual design and emotive everyday stimuli. Initially trained as an industrial designer in the Netherlands, Smeeing progressed to an MA in product design from London’s prestigious Royal College of Art. His work investigates the perceived value of objects, through mediating between products and space, enabling people to engage with ideas through experience. Works include the Turn Around tableware, Onggi ceramics and shows like Dealing with Feelings in Helsinki and Transitions in London.

Smeeing holds a BSc in Industrial Design Engineering from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands. Followed by a Minor, in Applied Art and Design from Aalto University in Helsinki, Finland. Upon graduating Smeeing engaged in exhibitions, projects and residencies across the globe including the Cheongju International Craft Biennale in South Korea, Aalto on Waves in Brazil, and IDO in Hong Kong. He received his Masters in Product Design from the Royal College of Art in London.
