Kevin Smeeing (NL, 1988) is an artist, social engaged and spatial designer working with social interaction, conceptual design and emotive everyday stimuli. Initially trained as an industrial designer in the Netherlands, Smeeing progressed to an MA at London’s Royal College of Art, where he developed his interdisciplinary and social engaged practise. His social and spatial projects question surrounding realities, whilst at the same time exploring alternatives. His work focuses on the human well-being and experience of space, from interior spaces to the public space of the urban realm.

Mediating between products and space, working with a wide range of media and across different disciplines, Smeeing enables people to engage with ideas through experience. Smeeing engaged in exhibitions, projects and residencies across the globe including the Cheongju International Craft Biennale in South Korea, Aalto on Waves in Brazil, and IDO in Hong Kong. Works include Onggi ceramics, the Dealing with Feelings performance in Helsinki, the Transitions show in London and STORE STORE in London, amongst others.
